Biodynamics in
southern Africa

BDAASA holds an annual conference, distributes a unique South African planting calendar and ensures the BD preparations are available. It furthermore maintains regular contact with members and affiliates on its database advising them of developments, topical issues, new initiatives, courses and workshops via email. Today, BDAASA is effectively reaching out to all like-minded organizations, farmers, gardeners and consumers to engage in truly sustainable agriculture. Interest in and awareness of Biodynamics is growing and being followed up in neighbouring countries e.g. Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique and Swaziland.

We are members of BFDI (Biodynamic Federation International) , IBDA (International Biodynamic Association), SAOSA (South African Organic Association), IFOAM (International Federation of Organics) and PGS South Africa.

We attend regular international conferences and are proud hosts to a number of distinguished international guests who contribute to our seminars and learnership experience.

BDAASA is a NPO and has PBO status Please send us an email to with any queries
